On September 22, Anduin brought 100+ senior leaders across investor relations, legal, operations, and technology together at Manhatta in New York City for our inaugural GP Con. Representatives from KKR, 8VC, Bain, StepStone, Blackstone, TPG, CD&R, Hamilton Lane, Clarion Capital Partners, and many more joined us for a day of candid discussion about the future of private markets.
Built around “Breakthrough,” the day combined main-stage conversations, hands-on demo stations, a look at Anduin’s product roadmap, and two rounds of peer-led roundtables. Conversations continued between sessions as attendees compared experiences and explored approaches they could take back to their teams.
The speaker lineup included Joe Lonsdale of 8VC, Joseph Konzelmann of TPG, Jeffrey Lieberman of Blackstone, Saurabh Bhatla of The Carlyle Group, and leaders from Hamilton Lane, H.I.G. Capital, CD&R, Cerity Partners, and BlueArc Capital Management.
Across discussions on the next decade of alternatives, scaling private markets firms, evolving LP expectations, and new distribution channels, one question connected the agenda. What needs to change in investor operations for firms to deliver on their next stage of growth?
Five takeaways from the room
- Growth exposes the gaps between teams. More strategies, jurisdictions, and investors mean more work to coordinate. Participants emphasized mapping the full fundraising process, making ownership explicit, and reviewing inherited exceptions. Otherwise, additional headcount can end up supporting the same inefficient handoffs.
- AI delivers when the task and context are clear. Practical examples included inbox triage, DDQ drafting, document review, and LP meeting preparation. Fund-specific information produced better DDQ responses than pooled histories. The opportunity is to reduce repetitive work while keeping people accountable for judgment and final decisions.
- Investor information should carry into the next commitment. Returning investors should not have to start from scratch. Pre-filled subscriptions and appropriate KYC reuse can improve the experience, provided firms maintain accurate records and know what needs refreshing. Connected systems and clear data ownership make that possible.
- Private wealth requires a service model built for volume. Higher investor counts bring more onboarding, education, and servicing demands. Exception-based review, better advisor access to information, and support tailored to each channel need to develop alongside the distribution strategy.
- Competing for capital requires connected platforms. Firms need visibility across investor relationships, from the first conversation to the next commitment. When information sits across disconnected products, teams lose context and momentum. Shared data and workflows help them coordinate the next step.

A closer look at what comes next
Roundtables turned these themes into practical discussions about AI beyond the pilot, competing for capital, investor experience, scaling the operating model, and private wealth. Moderators from General Atlantic, Proskauer, A&M Capital, Fenergo, Alpha Alternatives, and Stone Ridge Asset Management helped surface both workable approaches and unresolved tradeoffs.
Anduin’s Head of Product, Julien Houbin, explored how these priorities are shaping our roadmap. From reusable investor information to AI-assisted review, document extraction, and data room intelligence, his presentation and the demos offered a view of a more connected investor lifecycle.
